You run in your red clothes carrying the corpse, shovel and box of ant bodies. You turn many heads and trigger many screams from those around you. You are almost to the nearest park tree when you start to hear sirens in the distance.
Your body is still pumping with adrenaline. You reach the tree and drop the corpse, beginning to dig a hole for your ant friends.
You dig a hole large enough to fit the box of your ant friends. You place the corpse of the construction worker next to the hole and send a prayer to the souls of your dead friends.
After finishing the prayer, the sirens have become unbearably loud. You must do what you came here to do. You know that you must dedicate the last bits of your life to the friends who have kept you company for so long. You turn to your side and set the box inside the hole. You ceremoniously resettle the soil, covering the box and leaving a small swelling of the ground.
You thank the ants for the little happiness they have given you and you close your eyes as you rest in peace.
