You exit the apartment building, unsure if you will ever return for fear of the legends of the hillous zone outside the city. With your schoolbag slung over your shoulders, you begin walking. You don't stop. You don't look back. You keep heading west to hills, curious of what awaits you in the wilderness. Your feet start to swell, you can feel the hot blood pulsing in your toes. Your legs thud on the ground repetetively on the concrete sidewalks of the city. Your mind drifts off to what you should eat and realize you had already consumed the small ant-infested portion in your bag. Finally after some time, you make it out of the city. You are freely walking along the dirt roads of what is now the country. You no longer feel the numbness in your feet. Feeling liberated from the confinement of your apartment and the bustle of the city, you skip joyously on the desolate dirt road.
